40 Gold chests is more than enough to produce the 10 or so decent items you show on page one, give or take.

Personally i have no sympathy for people who buy unid weapons... anyone with a 15^50 collectors weapon can compare the damage on the 'test dummies' in Isle of Nameless. Anyone with a slight bit of common sense can equip a weapon and see if it adds health or energy or degen. Anyone with a certain degree of persistance can continually hit a dummy with Wild Blow to test for Sundering.

You know and have stated the items for sale are not worth iding / are crap and are willing to "scam" someone who thinks maybe they havnt been tested / you havnt tested the caster items properly. If you state they have been tested or are for the id title only then I guess that is ok. But to sell items unided and not indicate you have tested them when stating here you have is very unethical. GG using GuildWarsGuru to cheat people by selling as you stated tested items.

as for testing items. please mind that i am one of the first to say that a.net should change unid items behavious so that they do not show their mods/dmg be4 being identified. almost everyppl on guru test stuff, as long as it's a feature the game permits i dont seriously see the problem.
i tell u the problem. ppl smart enough to understand that unids are not worthy are the only one with the amount of cash needed to buy them. ppl without the experience needed to understand this are the one who lack the cash to buy them. guess what, at least if they are not ebayers, and i have NO SIMPHATY for ebayers. if i can sell a 50k unid req8 dual gothic axe to an idiot that just bought gold off ebay and has no respect for ingame cash because he got i easily I'LL DO IT IMMEDIATLY. he's ruining my game, lemme profit a little on him.
^^ guess i have a good point here. if u don't agree i'm sorry but there's nothing to do here. until a.nets allow this in their game i'm not risking to trash 10+ k with a single id-click. as long as i dont sell any of my poo items on guru -track me i've never sold one here- i guess it's fine

i usualy run alone, sometimes with 2 or 3 if that doesn't result in a lower amount of chests opened / hour. i usualy opened them all anyway but when this guy up here rushed me believing the first to open a chest gets the best drop.

i personaly didn't care

Lets see. I opened about 150 kurzick chests this friday and saturday. around 120 of them were gold (i do a max group of 4 guildrunners).
i got 2 gothic swords. a r12 and a r8. one r8 runic axe (which turned out to be 15/-5 aka the only decent drop from the event). no gothic duals, no platinum staves, no platinum bows/blades or bramble bows. no nice skinned hammers unless you count marble hammers as nice skins >.< and only one gothic axe req 13! a couple of average amber/gothic shields. and about a 100 crappy caster items and runes. i broke even with 2 vigor runes and the only real profit i earned from the event was from the runic axe and the still 80 unid's (mostly casters and some high req common skin axes/bows) i have laying about in storage.

i have opened more than 300-400 kurzick chests in melandrus hope and so far i've only EVER gotten one gothic dual axe which turned out with gay stats and was merchanted. Thats not to say i have really bad luck because every so often i bump upon a good drop that i can sell for a good profit but Guinevere's drops, in just 50 chests seems a little more than luck to me. It just may be that i want to believe there is a reward for those title seekers and that is the reason i back G Ac up but that is reason enough. Now excuse me, i have a grandmaster cartographer title i need to work on. :P

So many haters here. From what I have seen, KOABD title doesn't seem to net me better items, guess it was just your day. As for this weekend...req 8 and 9 GPBs, and lots of them, the best one being 20<50, yay. All it did was introduce idiots to the chest areas (like raisu not being able to get to the sin boss...Nahpui ppl dying at the mesmer...).

Oh, and I missed you getting KOABD Guinevere, Congrats and welcome. Chips are on the counter, dip and Pop are in the fridge.

The double gold chest drops would have been due to the special event over the weekend.

I noticed you posted that on the 10th, which was before the weekend, but they may have been testing it or just done it early.

I was chest hunting all week in the jade sea and getting golds from chest 95% of the time.

I get drops like that pretty regular. In guild groups my girlfriend and i tend to get the better stat rares, more ecto's and shard drops and so on... Neither of us have the KOBD yet (i'm 3 away and shes 2). I think it's generally random on who get's what. I have good days with tons of stuff and bad with next to nothing.

In my first 50 chests i found 4 Gothic Swords. I've had a couple of Runic Axes, a few Morning Star Axes. 2 Gothic Duals (1 +5e), not seen anything Platinum drop, Bramble bows... wow.. i think i have 20-30 of them, 90% of them req 12/13 Longbows... only found 1 req8 and 1 Shortbow.
Your moaning about that when you've found 2 Vigours to break even? In the 250-300 chests i opened (all but 12 in Melandrus Hope) i found around 15-25 armours. At least 7 of them were Ritualist Runes, thankfully 2 of them were Monk Runes which came at teh same time as mass bot buying due to banning to boost the price.

Its a random run... some runs its crap all the way, some runs its pure gold.

I like the chests run i gone to this weekend. Got some nice items from there. Gothic Dual Axe 14% -5 energy... was the only best item i gotten. Can't wait till next special event.

No one's moaning here. I'm just stating the drops i got so dont be a ***** about it. I did profit from the chest runs and i did mention that. What i'm saying is 8 out of my 10 golds were caster items. You may be right about everything being random luck. My point is i have never seen a bunch (40) of golds with most of the item's being low requirement rare skins. Then again, since one other KoaBD person already confirmed hes not had much luck, it just may be that G Ac has been lucky.

We've had the 'Everyone take your characters to the Elite missions so you can use the GH trick' Weekend.

Then they gave us the 'Please chest run your hearts out to let the rich get richer' Weekend.

Perhaps next week we'll have the 'Please farm as much as you can' Weekend. Then perhaps after that they can maybe put something in that doesn't suck. Lets face it they won't give Tyria any events will they. Moment they do that bot farmers profit.

At least the Halloween and Wintersday events were fun (exception of getting Candy Cane Shards EVERYWHERE!). The Dragon Festival sucked.

Although i do not like what is happening to the economy resulting from these events, i did enjoy the elite weekend (only went 2 deep runs though) and i really really liked the chest run event a lot. Now, i wouldn't mind a double chance to get a unique item event next week :P

i completely agree with evil sod's "tyria being ignored" viewpoint though. We need a tyria specific weekend event PLZ ANET!
